An 8th Grade test that puts the SAT to shame . . .

I was forwarded this email, and found it utterly fascinating.

Below is the final exam given to 8th graders in Salina, Kansas

in 1895. Students were given approximately

one hour to complete each section.

Some of the questions I can actually answer, others are

simply impossible,

and the rest just make absolutely no sense.

Could you pass? Even come close?

Do you even know what the hell orthography is?

This is taken from the Smokey Valley Genealogical

Society and Library in Salina.

Enjoy. I don't have the answers .  .  .

oh course Kansas would call it the war of rebellion, know shit about wheat and prices, and pronunciation
as---- its fucking kansas - not to insult that great state of the union eh? but yeah, whooo else needs to be able, on a daily basis, to know about wheat. meanwhile, the rest of the world gets by with reference books
oh and i fail my composition on proper usage of grammar.
