I would have voted for him if I had known, assuming that means black like Thurgood Marshall and not black like Clarence Thomas.
Years later, did it really matter that Obama is "black" except that enough Americans thought it was OK enough to vote for him, and that probably wouldn't have happened some years ago? It didn't seem to affect his policies; he might as well have been Bill Clinton.
So what's left? A Jewish president? A woman president? An unmarried president? A childless president? A pro athlete/musician/artist president? A president without much money who doesn't get much wealthier while in office except for salary and maybe book/record sales?
